A lovely article, very apt for current times.
Profit plus Purpose. Purpose definition is important. Quoted in the article tweeked by me. Profit is the fuel to the corporate vehicle, destination is the Purpose.
Aligning the purpose and defining it ahead and with all stakeholders is key.
Keep purpose on the top of the mind of all including employees, customers, vendors etc. Set up your own measure, like PayPal go beyond state definitions to meet employee needs.
In such times do react to wall street pressures or our purpose. We may run out of fuel temporarily but can we forget our destination? Or will we leave parts of the vehicle to reach our destination?
Could be a dilemma. Leaders who can answer this and steer the cimpany to the purpose in such times will clearly stand out.
As an individual have you found your purpose? I too am searching.
Good luck to all of us in our hunt for the purpose.
